These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, services and purchases made with Browz & Beauty, Jeevi Brow Studio & iBrow Threads.
By making a booking, purchasing a service, or buying a package or gift card with any of our stores — online, by phone, or in person — you agree to these Terms.
Important: Nothing in these Terms takes away the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Clause 12 explains those rights, and it overrides anything else in this document.
1. Bookings and deposits
A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The deposit is applied in full toward the cost of your service on the day.
- Lash full set services — a deposit of $50.
- All other services — a deposit of 50% of the service price.
Your deposit reserves an appointment time and a stylist for you. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
2. Changing or cancelling your appointment
How your deposit is treated depends on the notice you give us:
| Notice you give us | What happens to your deposit |
|---|---|
| 24 hours or more | Your deposit transfers to your rescheduled appointment, or is held as store credit on your client profile if you cancel. |
| Less than 24 hours — first occasion in any 12-month period | Your full deposit is held as store credit. Nothing is forfeited. We understand that life happens. |
| Less than 24 hours — later occasions | We retain 50% of the deposit to cover the cost of the reserved appointment time we were unable to fill. The balance is held as store credit. |
| You do not attend and do not contact us | Treated as notice of less than 24 hours, as set out above. |
When we will not retain any part of your deposit
We will return your deposit in full, or hold it as store credit at your choice, where:
- you are unwell, or a member of your household is unwell, and attending would risk the health of our team or other clients;
- you cannot attend because of an emergency, bereavement, accident or other circumstance genuinely beyond your control;
- we are able to fill your appointment time with another client;
- we ask you not to attend, including under any health or infection-control policy; or
- you are cancelling because of a problem with a service we previously provided.
We may ask for reasonable evidence. We will not unreasonably refuse a request under this clause, and we can always choose to be more generous than these Terms require.
3. If we cancel or reschedule
If we cancel or reschedule your appointment, or cannot provide the service you booked, you may choose to:
- move to another available time;
- hold your deposit as store credit; or
- receive a full refund of your deposit, returned by the same method you paid.
The choice is yours.
4. Late arrival
If you arrive late, more than 10 minutes from the reserved appointment, we will do our best to complete your full service. Where that is not possible without affecting other clients, we may shorten the service or ask to reschedule.
If we shorten the service, you pay only for what is provided. If we reschedule because of late arrival, the deposit amount paid will be held as store credits.
5. Store credit
Store credit is recorded against your client profile and may be used toward any service at the store that issued it.
Store credit issued under these Terms does not expire.
Store credit is not a substitute for a refund you are entitled to. Where you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law, we will refund you by your original payment method. We will not require you to accept store credit instead. Store credit is not redeemable for cash in any other circumstance.
6. Packages, memberships and gift cards
Where you buy a prepaid package of services, or a gift card, the following applies in addition to these Terms.
- Gift cards are valid for at least three years from the date of issue, and no post-purchase fees apply. The expiry date will be shown on the card.
- Prepaid packages: the number of services, the services included and any expiry will be stated at the time of purchase.
7. Your health and safety
Telling us about your health
Before your first service, and whenever your circumstances change, please tell us about any allergies, skin conditions, recent treatments, medications, eye conditions, pregnancy, or anything else that may affect your service.
We rely on this information to keep you safe, and we may decline or modify a service where we consider it not safe to proceed.
Patch testing
A patch test is required at least 24 hours before your first brow tint, lash tint, lash lift, brow lamination, or henna service, and again if you have not had that service with us for 06 months or if your circumstances change.
- If you have not had a patch test, we may not be able to perform the service on the day.
- Where a service cannot proceed because a patch test was not completed, clause 2 applies as though you had given less than 24 hours’ notice — but we will always try to offer you an alternative service instead.
If you have a reaction
If you experience any reaction, irritation or discomfort after a service, contact the store as soon as you can and seek medical advice if the reaction is serious. There is no time limit on raising a concern of this kind.
8. Clients under 18
A parent or guardian must give consent before we provide any service to a client under 12 to 16 and must attend the appointment for clients.
We do not provide chemical services — including tinting, lash lifting, lamination and henna — to clients under 12 years of age.
9. If you are not happy with your service
If you are unhappy with a service, contact the store as soon as you reasonably can. Getting in touch quickly — ideally within seven days — helps us assess and correct the work while it can still be adjusted, and we will arrange a complimentary adjustment where that is appropriate.
This is a request, not a deadline. Contacting us later does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and we do not impose any time limit on those rights. Some concerns, including reactions to tints and chemical treatments, may not appear for several days.
10. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
Among other things, this means our services must be provided with due care and skill, must be fit for any purpose you told us about, and must be supplied within a reasonable time.
If a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to have the problem fixed. Where the failure is major, you may choose to cancel the service and obtain a refund, or to keep the service and seek compensation for the difference in value. You may also be entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Where you are entitled to a refund, we will refund you. We will not require you to accept store credit, a re-supply of the service, or any other remedy in place of a refund you are entitled to choose.
11. Results
Results from brow and beauty services vary from person to person, and depend on factors including your natural hair growth, skin type and aftercare. We will always discuss what is realistically achievable for you before we begin.
Images used in our marketing show real clients and real results and are not digitally altered to change the outcome shown. They are examples of what has been achieved by those clients, not a promise of the result you will get.
This clause does not reduce our obligation to provide services with due care and skill, or to meet any specific purpose you have told us about and we have accepted.
12. Pricing and payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
- The price we quote you when you book is the price you pay for that booking. If our prices change afterwards, the change does not apply to bookings already made.
- If you ask for an additional service on the day, we will tell you the price before we begin it.
- Any surcharge or additional charge will be disclosed to you before you pay. No Sunday or public holiday surcharge applies at any of our stores.
13. Photographs and social media
We will only photograph or film you, and only use your image in our marketing, if you have given us clear consent to do so. Consent is entirely optional and it does not affect your service or your price in any way.
- We will tell you how we intend to use the image before you consent — for example, in social media posts, on our website, or in advertising.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the Studio. We will stop using the image in new material and remove it from our own channels where we are able to.
- We cannot always remove images that have already been shared or reposted by others.
- We will not use images of clients under 18 without the written consent of a parent or guardian.
14. Marketing messages
We would like to send you offers, reminders and news by SMS and email. We will only do this where you have consented, or where you are an existing client and would reasonably expect to hear from us.
- Every message will identify which Studio or brand it comes from and how to contact us.
- Every message will include a simple way to unsubscribe, and we will action unsubscribe requests promptly and at no cost to you.
- Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop appointment confirmations, reminders or other messages about a booking you have made.
15. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.
16. Our liability
We take responsibility for the services we provide.
Where we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law apply in full, and nothing in these Terms limits them. In particular, we do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our failure to provide services with due care and skill.
To the extent the law allows us to do so — and only to that extent — we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss arising from information you did not disclose to us about your health, allergies or previous treatments when we asked.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website when you make a booking is the version that applies to that booking. Changes do not apply retrospectively to bookings, packages, memberships or gift cards already purchased.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of respective regions of Australia.
Nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing a claim, or seeking assistance, in the state or territory where you live or where you received the service — including through your local consumer tribunal or fair-trading body.
